3-Month Volunteer Internship Terms
1. Purpose
The program trains volunteers to operate DECOLONISE AFRICA service nodes while permanent station builds continue. Crafts are already in operation; volunteers keep temporary pads safe and revenue-positive.
2. Duration
Standard track is 90 consecutive days (about 3 months) from the start date on your dashboard. Daily task lists are role-specific and time-blocked by hour.
3. Unpaid educational placement
Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, the internship is unpaid. It is not an employment contract. Local labour laws for pure volunteers/interns still apply where relevant.
4. Duties & revenue focus
Tasks are designed so each role contributes to station income (charge, battery swap, pad fees, agri/construction turnarounds, membership conversion). You must log completed tasks honestly on the Flyriders dashboard.
5. Safety
You must follow SOPs, PPE guidance and instructions from Station Managers / Safety Officers. Incomplete facilities mean extra caution around temporary power and unfinished structures.
6. Conduct & termination
Harassment, theft, falsifying logs or unsafe behaviour may end the placement immediately. Either party may end the program with written notice; critical safety issues may be immediate.
7. Data & publicity
We store your application and task progress to run the program. We may use first name + role in non-sensitive progress stories unless you opt out in writing.
8. No guarantee of employment
Completion does not guarantee a paid job, but high performers may be invited to paid roles as stations mature.
