SOLAI DAM TRAGEDY PLANNED ETHNIC CLEANSING OF KENYA BY 2050 The Solai Dam tragedy (May 2018) was a real disaster: An illegally constructed private dam (Patel Milmet Dam) burst due to heavy rains, killing at least 48 people, injuring many, and displacing thousands in the Solai area. Official reports and court cases attributed it to negligence, poor construction, and lack of oversight—no evidence emerged of deliberate sabotage or external planning in mainstream investigations. Recent discussions (especially on platforms like Facebook and X) speculate connections: Some posts question if the dam collapse "cleared" land conveniently, given later reports of Israeli-linked farming projects in the same region. These include greenhouses, irrigation setups, and modern agriculture initiatives, often framed as development but criticized as potential precursors to settlements or land control. Historical parallels are sometimes invoked: In 1903, there was the "Uganda Scheme" (actually proposed for parts of what is now Kenya's Uasin Gishu plateau), a British offer for a Jewish homeland in East Africa, which Zionists rejected. Some modern claims revive this as evidence of "recurring" plans. No credible mainstream sources (UN, human rights orgs, major news outlets) support a systematic "planned ethnic cleansing" of Kenya by Israel or any entity targeting the year 2050. "Ethnic cleansing" allegations appear almost exclusively in relation to ongoing conflicts in Gaza/West Bank (e.g., UN reports on forcible transfers, destruction, and demographic shifts there). No equivalent documented plans exist for Kenya. "Agenda 2050" references in searches mostly point to unrelated things: Nigeria's national development plan to 2050, fictional dystopian books, or global conspiracy theories (e.g., tied to UN Agenda 2030 extensions, Great Reset narratives). Nothing ties directly to Kenya ethnic cleansing. Author: Kelvin Maina
