Beware of Scams

Protect Yourself & Our Community – Stay Vigilant

GoDaddy's Unfair Practices & Domain Hijacking

When we first sought to register decolonizeafrica.com (American spelling), GoDaddy recognised its connection to our original khalidee.com domain. They inflated the price to an exorbitant $12,000 per year – a clear attempt to deny us our rightful name and trap us in unaffordable terms.

Unable to pay such exploitative fees, we chose decoloniseafrica.com (British spelling) instead. On December 18, 2025, GoDaddy – realising we wouldn't buy – registered decolonizeafrica.com themselves. WHOIS records confirm GoDaddy's control with hidden details, suggesting ongoing manipulation.

We have NO affiliation with decolonizeafrica.com – it's a potential scam site mimicking us to exploit our 100,000+ members. Always use our official site: decoloniseafrica.com. This highlights how corporations like GoDaddy continue neo-colonial practices, denying Africans fair access to digital resources.
